He died! He lives! By Patrick Raymundo de Moraes
Crimson blood runs down the wooden beam. He died! He died and became darkness in the hearts of men. He died! Go quickly and tell that He died! Do not delay in spreading the news. Condemned without sin, the righteous died for the unrighteous. Those who knew Him closely weep flowing tears. I will comfort those who mourn and offer my tears as tribute. The first night without Him is moaning, pain, and lament. The second night is silence and remembrance of moments and teachings, but hearts lack strength and life. The third day dawns, and with it, hope! The women proclaim: He lives! Peter proclaims: He lives! Two passersby proclaim: He lives and rested with us! He lives! Dreams come alive again! Hope comes alive again! He lives! Proclaim now that He lives! Go faster, riding the wings of the wind and proclaiming that He lives! “Death, where is your victory?” Everyone saw Him! What joy—life lives again! He lives!
